I've been trying to get a pair of prescription glasses ordered since late December 2021, and it's been a constant struggle. After being charged for an upgrade, then told my 1.74 lenses couldn't be accommodated, and finally receiving an ill-fitting pair, I'm now stuck with store credit I can't even use properly. I've been on hold with Customer Service for half an hour just to be told a coupon code for a lens upgrade cannot be used for a lens upgrade, even though I had paid out the money previously for exactly that purpose! This company needs to seriously think through its customer service and customer experience practices, because, as customer experiences go, this has been an absolute nightmare. Proceed with caution. I felt I had no choice but to call customer service and then leave this review to highlight the severe issues I faced.
Customer: I'm calling because I'm absolutely furious about my store credit. I've been on hold for half an hour just to be told I can't use the coupon for the very lens upgrade I paid for initially! CS Rep: I hear your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for the long wait and the confusion with your store credit. Could you please provide me with your order number and the coupon code you're trying to use? Customer: It's [Order Number] and the code is [Coupon Code]. This coupon is for a Transitions lens upgrade, exactly what I paid for and returned. Why can't I apply it to my new order's lens upgrade? This is ridiculous! CS Rep: I understand why this is upsetting. It appears the system is categorizing that specific credit in a way that's preventing its direct application to a new lens upgrade. Let me see what I can do on my end to manually adjust this or find an alternative solution for you right now.
